Fukuiraptor means means 'thief of Fukui' and lived in the Early Cretaceous era in what is now Japan and possibly Australia. It was a theropod or carnivorous dinosaur believed to belong to the Megoraptoran clan of dinosaurs, although it has also been said to be related to allosaurs or tyrannosaurs. The jury is still out! When first discovered it was thought that the large hand claws were from the feet and so it was given the raptor name which is misleading. It was around 4.5 to 5 metres in length.
The model is based on the holotype's remains and the restored skeleton that is on display at the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum in Japan. CollectA's reconstruction has followed the idea that megoraptorans are allosauroids. They wanted to convey that it is a lively and lightly built carnivore. The holotype is of an immature example and so CollectA has scaled it up to presumed adult size.

CollectA Fukuiraptor Deluxe
The CollectA Fukuiraptor Is A Very Good Figure And Matches Well With It’s CollectA Fukuisaurus Counterpart. With Most Of CollectA’s Other Prehistoric Figures That Have A Base, The Bases Are Usually Poorly Detailed And Are Never Painted (Unlike The Safari Ltd Giganotosaurus), Although Figure Has An Amazingly Sculpted Base, And Sure It’s Not Painted But It’s Fine Without It.
