A new and updated deluxe model of the favourite Iguanodon that was named in 1825 by Dr Gideon Mantell and was the second dinosaur to be identified and given a name. The reason for the conical thumb spike is not known but it has been suggested that it was used in feeding or defence. It was a herding animal and is often found together with Mantellisaurus, so the two CollectA models may be put together in dioramas.
